SandSoft designs and builds inexpensive professional quality Internet websites for clients in the Skipton area and beyond.

Apart from hosting fees (which are charged separately - see below), any price we quote you for building a new site is for the completed up-and-running job. The price includes on-page search engine optimisation, uploading your website pages to your chosen hosting company's server, and submitting your site to the leading free submission search engines - no hidden extras!

You can have your website hosted by any hosting company of your choice. However we currently recommend website hosting packages, provided by a third-party UK based hosting company, which include domain name registration, e-mail facilities, control panel, statistics, MySQL, PHP 5+, Perl etc., from only £36 per annum, including domain name registration fees and VAT, - That’s less than 80p per week! Your hosting contract with the hosting company would be directly between you and them and you would pay them directly each year - We do not receive any commission for promoting their services - click here for more details.

DIY content management...

If required we can incorporate our in-house designed CMS (Content Management System) to enable you to update the main body content of your pages yourself, along with the page title and meta tags if you wish.

This approach best suits the non-dynamic brochure/showcase type of site. Typically, if you think that you could create the page content you require using Microsoft Word™, then you should be able to create the same (or very similar) web page content with the CMS.

We will build the main site framework (i.e. common header/footer areas, left/right column areas and the navigation system) ensuring that it is search engine friendly and W3C markup validated, and make the main body content of each page editable by you. Using a leading WYSIWYG editor from within your normal web browser you will be able to change the text in the editable areas and include images, hyperlinks, tables etc.

The page title and meta tags are also editable via the CMS if you fancy carrying out your own on-page SEO work. The CMS also enables you to add code to every page throughout the website in certain strategic locations - Ideal for adding Google Analytics code for example. You can even hook into several external services you may have accounts with such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Myspace and an external Blog.
